We all saw the rapid growth of mobile games during the pandemic, and the trend is here to stay. A new report by IDC and LoopMe highlighted that 75% of the consumer playtime that was boosted by the pandemic will remain in the post-COVID-19 world.

Hyper-casual games, in particular, saw significant growth in the first quarter of 2020, with the number of installs being more than doubled from December 2019 to March 2020.

Speaker’s Profile

Coburn is a game advisor at Storms, where he has led the design and production of five successful game prototypes. Prior to joining Storms, Coburn was an associate game design analyst at US-based game studio Koapps. His data-driven counsel successfully increased the studio’s mobile games’ profitability and engagement by double-digits. Coburn graduated from Digipen Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Computer Science and Game Design.
