In this lecture, Ken will first give an introduction to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). He will then go in depth into the three tenets of Cloud Computing, namely network, compute, and storage. He will discuss how they influence the design of products and services for Big Data on GCP. He will describe the end-to-end reference architecture for Big Data available on GCP. Finally, he will cover the latest advancements in AI/ML that impact GCP’s internal systems and services.
Ken Ly is the Google Cloud Customer Engineering lead for Vietnam market, a role which focuses on enabling Google Cloud’s clients in the country – to make the best use of the platform, and architect solutions that take into account the latest advancement and newest tools. Prior to joining Google Cloud, Ken spent close to three years with Alibaba Cloud as a Solutions Architect, and over five years with other global enterprises in the infrastructure space. He graduated from National University of Singapore (NUS).
